'If you don't take a job as a prostitute, we can stop your benefits'

Telegraph News 'If you don't take a job as a prostitute, we can stop your benefits': "A 25-year-old waitress who turned down a job providing 'sexual services'' at a brothel in Berlin faces possible cuts to her unemployment benefit under laws introduced this year.

Prostitution was legalised in Germany just over two years ago and brothel owners who must pay tax and employee health insurance were granted access to official databases of jobseekers.

The waitress, an unemployed information technology professional, had said that she was willing to work in a bar at night and had worked in a cafe.
She received a letter from the job centre telling her that an employer was interested in her 'profile'' and that she should ring them. Only on doing so did the woman, who has not been identified for legal reasons, realise that she was calling a brothel"

So I guess if a married man is unemployed, he could be forced to become a "boy for rent", or lose his unemployment benefits. Germany is just a step below nazism again.

COPS: The Jump-Out Boys

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

For more than a decade viewers have been thrilled by the real-life exploits of the police officers on the television show COPS. The Jump-Out Boys, by Hank J. Barr, takes the reader along on the filming, as seen through the eyes of a veteran audio man and producer. From the comic to the tragic and all places in between, the efforts of police officers across the country are revealed in all their diversity. The author presents a positive picture of law enforcement officials, because that is what he mostly saw in his seasons with the show. Forever changed by his experiences, Mr. Barr will not take police officers for granted any time soon. The reader of this book will feel the same way.

The Jump-Out Boys : Hank Barr is a friend of mine. We attended the same church here in Clovis, CA for several years. Hank, and his family also live in Clovis. This is an exciting book, about an exciting show. If you could meet Hank, and talk with him for just a few minutes, you would see what a nice kind man he is. And, stories...wow, he has traveled all around the world, and back and forth across this country with COPS, you can't imagine all he has seen. That's what makes this book so great. Hank is in the picture above in the background, the one with the earphones. He has been a sound man for the show for several years now. He started as a cameraman, but after getting shot, he decided to do the sound, better visibility he says. Hank is also credited as associate producer.

Hank has been with Cops since it began. He has been involved with television since the early 70's. Hank was a cameraman for Geraldo Rivera, when Geraldo was out on the streets trying to interview drug dealers, and various street criminals early in Geraldo's career. Cops origins are associated with Geraldo. John Langley, creator / producer of COPS also woked for Geraldo in those earlier years.

Yahoo! News - FCC Chairman Powell Said to Be Resigning: "WASHINGTON - Federal Communications Commission (news - web sites) Chairman Michael K. Powell plans to step down from the job he's held for four years, two agency officials said Friday.
Powell, who maintained a light regulatory hand as the nation's chief media watchdog but collected some of the largest indecency fines against U.S. broadcasters, planned to issue a statement Friday but was not expected to hold a formal news conference, these officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
Powell, the son of departing Secretary of State Colin Powell ,does not plan to step down immediately, the officials said. However, he will leave soon.
Powell privately informed some industry officials that he planned to make the announcement, according to one person who spoke with the chairman earlier this week. This person also spoke on condition of anonymity out of respect for the timing of Powell's announcement"

Well Howard Stern should be happy to hear this. Michael Powell seems to go a bit too far, in his fineing everyone for alleged indecency. The greatest defense against any type of obcenity, is to simply turn the station.

RealCities.com 01/20/2005 Full text of Bush's inaugural address“We are led, by events and common sense, to one conclusion: The survival of liberty in our land increasingly depends on the success of liberty in other lands. The best hope for peace in our world is the expansion of freedom in all the world.”

“America has need of idealism and courage, because we have essential work at home – the unfinished work of American freedom. In a world moving toward liberty, we are determined to show the meaning and promise of liberty.”

A great speech by a great man, President George W. Bush!

American Idol is an increasingly cruel reality

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usScary Mary

Boston.com / A&E / TV / 'Idol' is an increasingly cruel reality: "The most memorable audition was by a blonde in a bright red shirt named Mary Roach, whom AOL has already dubbed 'The Female William Hung' and 'Scary Mary.' Singing Carole King's 'I Feel the Earth Move,' she threw her body into convulsions as she shrieked out the lyrics. When Cowell asked her how she felt she did, her answer was a confident 'Not too shabby.' She then told the judges about the voices in her head, in case there was any question of her stability. If she is indeed the female Hung, she has already earned her guilt money from the public"

Mary Roach, was definitely scary!! She said she was a cosmetology student, and that her friends (as if she had any) told her she had a voice. Which led to this conversation with judge Randy,

Mary:"I have so many voices inside me that are coming out right now."

Randy: "What are they telling you now?"

Mary: "The voices are telling me that they can’t believe that you are not letting me into the next round."

Then she went into a tirade, that was very psycho.

Schwarzenegger Allows Rare California Execution

Wired News Schwarzenegger Allows Rare California Execution: "SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Citing 'grisly and senseless killings,' Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declined on Tuesday to grant clemency to murderer Donald Beardslee, setting the stage for California's first execution in three years.
As expected, Schwarzenegger said he would allow the execution of Beardslee, 61, to proceed by lethal injection at San Quentin State Prison north of San Francisco at one minute after midnight (3:01 a.m. EST) on Wednesday morning.
Beardslee's attorneys argue he was duped by accomplices and was suffering from mental illness aggravated by brain injuries when in 1981 he shot Stacey Benjamin, 19, and choked and slashed the throat of Patty Geddling, 23, in California.
The Air Force veteran, who was out on parole at the time for a 1969 murder of a young woman in Missouri, confessed to both killings and was sentenced to death in 1984."

The State of California finally is seeing to it that another cold blooded murder does not kill another one of our loved ones. The first one in over 3years.

HoustonChronicle.com - Bike-building brothers take rides to new level:"DUNCANVILLE - One man's motorcycle is another man's art. Or both when the man is cycle builder Joe Martin.

There's no denying the beauty of Martin's hand-built bikes. Even sedan-huggers can appreciate the sensuously dangerous artistry of the one-of-a-kind machines. Martin's bikes sell for about $100,000 to collectors who may never ride them.
'They're pieces of art. That's truly the way you have to look at it,' says Jason Martin, Joe's business partner and younger brother."

Nice huh? Bikes look good too! Absolutley beautiful bikes, can you imagine $100k for a motorcycle, just to put it in a glass case in the den. Check out more of this talented teams bikes at their website Martin Bros Bikes.
